Make sure you see all of each room as that is not specified here, although all the necessaryĬlick floor to stand. Best joke was from the Blood Vengeance review and the "Tekken Blood Vengeance drinking game" and how Spoony is immediately broken by a speeding panda, it still gives me a chuckle.Īlso, I almost bought some merch off of Spoony back in the day (the "Tekken Lord" t-shirt).NOTE: Most rooms have at least two areas (screens) to them.

#Phantasmagoria game intro movie
Also I'm not much of a movie person, but I did also like Film Brain back in the day as well (I would probably still follow FB if I was a movie buff, but these days I barely get to see a even a few movies a year) and I enjoyed what Spoony and FB both brought to the table for the review. I feel like I am probably one the of the very few former TSE fans who actually really liked the crossover review with Film Brain for the Tekken live movie review (and I get the main complaint with that one was how Film Brain talks, but I just found it quirky more than anything). as I've been into Tekken since Tekken 2, and I played competitively during the Tag Tournament era (I'm nowhere near as good as I used to be skill wise, but I have kept up with the main story arc up to the current Tekken 7). My number one choice(s) is definitely a personal one. Tekken reviews (Mishima family tradition).I didn't mind the live action skits in this one either. Best joke is probably Spoony ripping on the epic orchestral score and playing the one note on keyboard, and when he just gives up at the end of the review with all the Predator rip offs ("fuck it, it does look like fun! WOLVERINES! *pulls out AK and charges*). Robowar (Target Centered, Greasy) - The review (IIRC) that preluded Rebruary, and IMO the best one. Actually me getting into D&D is probably another thing I have to credit towards Spoony (I always just knew of it through cultural osmosis and passively through my main interest of gaming, but never really sought to learn or get more into it until I saw Counter Monkey). Anyway, Spoony does quite a few memorable jokes in the review, the men of bronze eating poison plants part is good one, and the gold smugglers "Burying it there was a clever move!".ĭragon Strike (Hair of Swayze) - Really enjoyed this review, the riffs come non-stop. Also, Spoony having an absolute nit pick meltdown over the Dark Knight having a holding cell for Lord Tholden in Runes of Virtue was absolutely priceless.Ĭlones of Bruce Lee (Insane Hong Kong Boot Leggers) - This whole "Bruceploitation" thing that happened after Bruce Lee died, I had no idea it was a thing until I saw this review from Spoony. I think my favourite joke is the apprentice blacksmith (juggling work between wheelbarrows and the Challenger space craft). Ultima ("I'm the Avatar!") - Spoony's best work was in this series.

The one where it starts with some bullshit about Cyclops being lame and turns into a 4 hour manic ramble about a ton of shit he thinks is cool, from Babylon 5 RPG to Call of Cthulhu.

What a fucking cool story and Noah knows how to tell a good story.ĥ) Counter Monkey: The Cthulhu Rant. Also the heavy metal version of the theme song absolutely slaps.Ĥ) Counter Monkey: Thieves World. Absolute classic, hilarious to this day.ģ) Mazes and Monsters. Imagine him going into a content creator like Lindsay Ellis, making this long, well researched pieces about things that are important to him.Ģ) Phantasmagoria 2, of course. I so wish we could've seen Spoony in this current day and age of more thoughtful and positive video essays. It was always better than his screaming rant stuff, even tho that's what unfortunately sold back in the day. It's so great seeing him talk with so much passion and happiness about something. Why do people donate to Spoony on Patreon?ġ) The first 7 Ultima games, I'm gonna go with either 1, because it's hilarious, or 4. The Spoony Experiment has been inactive since 2016. The show began in 2007 and has been featured on Screwattack and That Guy with the Glasses.
